
General Paediatrician
Dr Smuk is a Consultant Paediatrician who enjoys all aspects of paediatric care and parenting concerns, from newborns to adolescents. She has a particular interest in working with families as they adjust to the challenges of a newborn, general paediatric issues such as asthma, eczema, constipation, growth issues, infant and child development and the management of children with complex medical needs. She finds it a privilege to support families in understanding and managing the diverse range of medical conditions that babies and children can experience.
Dr Smuk has a VMO appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital. She has been working in Paediatric Medicine for over 10 years. Dr Smuk completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney and trained as a General Paediatrician with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Prior to commencing medical training, Dr Smuk completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) and practised for a number of years as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist. She has also provided respite care for families with children with developmental disabilities.
Dr Smuk is a mother of four young children and can relate to the many challenges of parenthood. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, photography and enjoying Sydney’s beaches.
Dr Smuk has appointments available for existing patients, however her wait for new patients is now 2024.
